Check out the breeder listing under "other" on this website, though most of us are just getting started for the season. I will be setting a hatch today to test fertility on my breeding pen, so hopefully I will have eggs available to ship soon.
With winter in Wisconsin, I likely won't split my pens out until end of February/early March. Currently my birds are combined, so I am not offering eggs as the flock is mixed old style birchens with silvers. I expected to have eggs and chicks this spring, with shipping available on eggs and a select few chick shipments.
Be watching the IBCC site over the next couple months as the breeder directory for 2014 will be updated and posted!
I have cockerels available now, and am incubating my first batch of eggs for the season. I live in Manly, just north of Mason City, Ia, so I'm not very far from you. I'd be happy to get you started with some chicks. Emily Meierotto
It's great to see so much interest in Iowa Blues! As one who personally started with Iowa Blues from two of the popular hatcheries I'd like to offer some advice on this matter. Their birds will have the personality characteristic of the Iowa Blue, but you will have difficulty matching them up to the Proposed Standard of Perfection found on this website. If breeding to the Standard is part of your goal in raising Iowa Blues, or any chicken breed for that matter, I recommend contacting a breeder.
